Description:
General Electric bought out Telechron, a company that made exceptional clocks, and I happened to find a model 3H88: "The Farragut" or "World's Fair" (Many of Telechron's model's had great names!) In the brochure's word's: "A exceptionally neat occasional clock in a dignified brown plastic case. The simple design is one of proven popularity." Bakelite body, glass crystals and steel dials. Made in 1942. My cost? $1.99. -Not too shabby a deal there. The other is a Westclox "Moonbeam". “First he blinks and then he rings.” This was the advertising slogan. It meant that the alarm would trigger a light inside that flashed on and off to wake the sleepy person. If that didn't work, the alarm would follow a short time later. This was made between 1949-50. Works great and has no major dings. Got it for $2.99 (My new favorite!)
