From Wal-Mart Crap to Super Fabulous Shabby Chic Mod

By Bekanator

About a year ago I bought a comforter set from Wal-Mart because it was only eighty bucks and had wicked boho vibe to it.  The problem was that it was a queen, and it was slippery, and it never stayed in place.  Sure, it looked alright, but it wasn't practical, and when I made it up to look pretty it was really only sub par.  Especially after moving, it started to bore me.

The other night Jon and Mike and I decided to drink whilst playing Geometry Wars, and as the evening progressed I eventually found myself wedged between the futon and the coffee table.  That was when Jon helped me to bed.

Two hours later he came in to join me, and I woke up to the sound of him throwing up.  I felt it all over the bed, all over my sheets, and I heard the sound of it dripping all over the floor.  Long story short, I decided that it was about time to get myself a bed makeover.  So today I compiled a new pack of brown bed linens, a quilt set, and two very modern and very cool throw pillows.  And then I fixed myself a very spiffy bed.

I just love the green, and how it looks so damn mature while still being funky and modern.  This is proof that a nice bed doesn't come in a bag, it comes after a horrid night of hand washing your sheets, and some great inspiration.

Nice. I am so impressed. I was just happy to have a sheet that fit and a pillow that didn't suck when I was living in the dorms.
