I moved to W. Coast Florida from Dallas, TX. in 12/06. I am a former business owner in Dallas and am on a temporary assignment in Florida, doing humanitarian work with the needy. 

I love interior design, thrift stores, DIY projects, creating jewelry and various crafts and art forms. I enjoy an eclectic style, with a Moroccan flair. I recently started painting for the first time in my life, at 57yrs of age. I had no idea I could paint and it has become a great passion. I'm doing watercolors and oils and have been amazed that someone wanted one of my paintings.

The thing that I enjoy the most about my home is the sunroom. Being in Florida, it is screened and there is a lake just outside the backdoor. There are many ducks and exotic water fowl. There have been a large number of new ducklings, which are so fun to watch.

The most recent thing I did to my home is create a media center. My roommate and I retrieved a nice granite countertop from a furniture store dumpster. It has brown/cream tones. I put a secure base under it and it now holds my computer, phone, rolodex and additional things I need to function. It's real nice and just as I imagined and desired.
