Do kirigami for fun

By Affinity

When i was just a little gal, my mum used to cut out paper patterns to amuse me.. or rather she taught me how to do it so that i can sit at a corner amusing myself over the different pattern possibilites and she can finally have some time on her own.

its super easy to do (unless u are aiming for some complex patterns) and it just takes a fraction of time. Maybe when i'm tired of the flower i did for my coffeetable, i will do an xtra large one to fit my coffee table.

step 1: fold a square paper twice to get a smaller square,  step 2: fold into a triangle, step 3: start cutting the edges! start with any easy to do shapes to get the hang of it first. step 4: unfold the paper

Hi! i guess this method of folding and cutting paper is pretty common all over the world then! :) but i kinda totally forgot about it growing up.... until i saw one done the other day and thought hey it might fit my coffee table nicely! The roses in the background are fake.. tired of changing fresh flowers everday hehe.

Affinity this is similar to how we made six sided snow flakes when I was a child.  The folding is a bit different of course since you're have eight sides.  Very pretty outcome though.

Your roses in the background are very pretty too.
