Make a Set of Romantic Lacy Luminaries

by on Feb 1, 2011

Lacy luminaires wouldn’t ordinarily be my style, but when I saw the rustic burlap mixed with  doilies, I stopped dead in my tracks. The contrast of lace and burlap, a canning jar and pink satin ribbon…oh baby, I can’t resist that kind of craft. Over on  Crafts by Amanda you’ll see exactly how to put together these juxtaposed materials. Here’s all you need. Glass jars
Adhesive spray (like Elmer’s Craft Bond)
Doilies
Burlap
Twine, buttons, and/or ribbon

By the way, that Elmer’s Craft Bond is strong enough to use on upholstery projects. It’s good stuff!

Man spraying paint to a plastic bottle with sprayer.

If you read the tutorial, there is a good suggestion to spray the adhesive on the doily instead of the jar. Lint and other dust will stick right on that sticky jar. See the full tutorial right here.
