What color are the walls in the first room, it's gorgeous?

Where can I find that round rug?!

Where can I find that round rug?!

DesigningMom on Jan 14, 2011:

I was curious about that rug too. It could be crocheted with very lard cording/string. It looks like a giant doily glued to a round canvas.

elseajane on Jan 14, 2011:

You know in the top pict they have the two sweet little crocheted foot stools but the rug looks like it was crocheted too. ( I know it's not.) That really ties the whole space together. I really like the coheasiveness (sp?) I think that's what I'm missing, a repeat of textures, colors and objects in my spaces. Something I must work on. And yes I'm still going to post on monday. ;-)

DIY Maven on Jan 14, 2011:

Thanks, EJ! I do my best!! ;)

DesigningMom on Jan 13, 2011:

Oh I have to check out the green ones and well all the other colors too. Thanks EJ! I hadn't noticed that when I looked at the blue rooms.

elseajane on Jan 13, 2011:

DesigningMom on Jan 13, 2011:

Give your self motive to get the job done. Ha ha ha. Sometimes it takes that. Or company. That works too.

elseajane on Jan 13, 2011:

I know but yours looks almost complete...mine looks cluttered. I will work this weekend to get it picture ready and post on monday. There! Now I've commited in writing...What have I done!?!

DesigningMom on Jan 13, 2011:

EJ, I shared my Ladies Parlor in progress pictures in a photo album. They don't have to be full room pictures, just a hint for us to oogle over please....created at: 01/05/2011

I'm working on posting picts. It's all those little things that need tying up that's keeping me from doing it. And theree's always that fear what if people hate it! ;-p  Mave, I think collecting some of those little boxes might just be real fun!  And, Mom, I like green too, where going to be doing my daughters room in greens, pinks and browns, now if we can just settle on the tones. I want soft and romantic, she wavers first it's ultra modern and very bright, then I show her pictures and she sighs and off we go. A lot will depend on what our paint depot has in when we're ready to paint. (we're very lucky, or county landfill recycles paint FOR FREE!)

Oh I wanna see!

DIY Maven on Jan 12, 2011:

EJ--Tiffany Blue. *sigh* I adore that blue. I was thinking of repainting my craft room that color, but the 'lake blue' that it is now suits the earthy palette I have going. Guess I'll just have to stick to accumulating Tiffany boxes. :)

elseajane on Jan 12, 2011:

I'm using tiffany box blue as the accent color in my down stairs. that combined with a taupie browm/mauve kinda thing going with rich chocolate trim. Dinning rooms almost done the next will be the mud room followed by the kitchen. Sigh...it never ends. But that's good it keeps me busy, I think. ;-)

DesigningMom on Jan 11, 2011:

Though green in my all time favorite color blue takes a very close second place in my heart. Combine them and I'm on cloud nine. Thanks for sharing Maven!
