Fast, Cheap & Easy: Pendant Lamp

by on Jul 29, 2010

Sherry of Young House Love had an inspired idea for making a fast, cheap and easy pendant lamp for her office. Looks good, right? Would you believe it consists of nothing more than an oversized shade and the original ceiling light fixture underneath? The fixture’s original rod–that held the glass shade–was slipped into the opening at the top of the new shade. The original finial from the original glass fixture was used to keep everything secure. That might sound confusing, but it’s the farthest thing from it, especially when you take a look at Sherry’s pictures. And how cheap was the project? $32 from start to finish.
