Remove paint splatters from newly varnished floorboards?

By 3stripe

So my decorator didn't cover the floor properly when he painted, and how there are tiny flecks of white paint all over the place.

Will he be able to remove it all somehow without damaging the pine floorboards?

Or is he going to have to remove the varnish/paint and re-varnish it all?

Contemporary (and not too expensive) UK furniture websites?

By 3stripe

I'm hunting some new furniture for my flat here in sunny Scotland.

What first - strip the floorboards or paint the walls?

By 3stripe

My hallway and living room both need to have the floors stripped back, but also their bumpy wallpaper removed from the walls, and artex from the ceiling as well for that matter.

Or, get the floors done first? And then the skirting boards... and then the walls/ceiling sorted.

Maybe the order doesn't make any differenc?

Bendy shelving with cable management?

By 3stripe

My hallway

The shelving should go from about shoulder height down to the ground I think... and the depth of it must be kept to a minimum as the hallway is not that wide.

It also needs some kind of cable management because I want my cordless phone » READ MORE
