Who Loves Little Books??
By 3rd Ward Brooklyn3rd Ward is hosting a short workshop for people interested in the creation of small books - from the delicate hand-made art-object to the DIY xerox'd zine. Workshop participants will participate in discussions about the form, exercises in specific book-making techniques, and collaborative group projects.
The first session will focus on discussing the form and explaining techniques, during which students work as a group to set parameters for a larger collaborative project. With a week to generate work on their own, the second meetig will cover the presentation, critique and combination of everyone's work, leading to a group exhibition at 3rd Ward (just days before the local gallery tour Williamsburg Every 2nd).
There is potential for a regular course for the group creating a series of ongoing publications, generated collaboratively, duplicated and displayed by 3rd Ward iff this workshop goes well so check out the details below and call 718.715.4961 to register.
