Power Drills

By 2Modern

Power Drill, waste, borrow

If you need a power drill, try to borrow one if you can. Most neighbors have them.

Are you aware that the average life of a power drill is 4 minutes? Seriously 4 minutes of actual power?

If you think about how often a drill a used in the first place and how long it is actually used for when actually used (a few seconds), it makes you wonder.

The reason I say this: I found it to be pretty wasteful to purchase one. Not just in terms of money, but in terms of everything that goes into a drill. The manufacturing, transportation and carbon output just to get this tool to sit on a dusty shelf in a garage...

The guy/gal next to you almost surely has won begging for use right next door.

Just remember not to be the neighbor that doesn't return tools ;)

CREDITS: I got this idea from listening to a video on Inhabitat (www.inhabitat.com) and listening to the founder of Core 77 (www.core77.com).
