I often will go in someone’s home and ask where they got something really cool and the answer will be Etsy. Then, I will go to Etsy and become really overwhelmed with where to start. The great thing about Etsy is not only are you supporting handmade artists, but you are also getting something really unique. Here are some of my favorite Etsy stores.
1. If you are a lover of DIY, Etsy is a great place to find your supplies. If I had a dresser to redo I could find a variety of vintage knobs from Violette Slippers. If you love lighting DIY, there are great light cord options out there like these from Light with Shade. Etsy is also a great place to find furniture legs, like these hairpin legs, for your custom furniture pieces.
2. If you are looking for great textiles such as these pillows, you can find anything you want on Etsy.
3. Etsy also offers unique lighting options. I am obsessed with the lighting choices from Sazerac Stitches, Lucent Lampworks, and Dutton Brown.
4. There are hoards of great wall decor over on Etsy. These three from MahzerandVee, Slow Down Productions , and True Cotton are a preview of the great quality, uniqueness and variety you will find.
5. You might be inspired by all the DIY floating shelves or woodworking out there but don’t have the skills and tools to get it done. There are many woodworkers such as Real Wood Works, and This Old Wood Shop who would love to custom build something for you. Others, such as Folklore Deco, already have it ready to purchase.
Whether you love to support the uniqueness of those who make things by hand, or could benefit the services of those who DIY well… Etsy is a great place to find things for your home. Love this shopping guide? Here, here and here are some of my other favorite shopping guides from Curbly.
Oh I love these! Awesome post! I totally get lost on Etsy and don’t ever know where to begin!
