How To: Turn Old Trampolines Into New Suspended Beds

by on Nov 26, 2013

Atlantic Trampolines

Our next door neighbor erected a trampoline in their backyard last summer. It was pretty popular. For two days. Another yard in the neighborhood has one. I’ve never seen anybody actually use it, but their big black dog loves to lounge on it. Not sure what the ‘interest’ lifespan of a trampoline is, but if your family’s enthusiasm is on the down-slide, it might be time to turn it into a suspended bed. (If you don’t have one, I’m guessing Craigslist has plenty from which to choose.) Atlantic Trampolines in the UK gives us some suggestions on how to do such a thing. Click here for more info and examples.

  1. I can’t find the directions for this anywhere. Is there a link that explains it, step by step? Thanks!

  2. I can’t find any tutorials either. Would be nice for someone could simplify this for me for inside everyday bed use. I’m wanting to turn my trampoline into a Gothic type of canopy bed using chains i’m so excited. Im thinking if i figure out how to do it myself it would come out perfect im not sure.. If anyone could help would be nice.

  3. I was reading a pin on pinterest that said the floating trampoline is actually patented, so they are not allowed to list a tutorial. Kind of ridiculous since most things have a patent, we still like to make things ourselves. Bleh.
