17th Century Home's Modern Bathroom Makeover

created at: 10/01/2012

I'm guessing the first inhabitants of this 17th century home would have been thrilled with any indoor bathroom facilities. Although a far cry from using a chamber pot, its current owners weren't so impressed with the facilities that eventually came along. They wanted to give the room more focus as well as add a shower.

AWESOME. I live in a house built in 1760 and love that you went eclectic on this make over. I find it thrilling when the house is living in the now, while still honoring the past. You've kept the bones but went with new products and technology. I just found your website and I'm excited to be a new follower aka groupie.

Living in an attic apartment in a way old house myself (not THAT old, but it's wood and bricks, so I think it dates to around 1900 like most buildings here?) I can only say: Oh. That is BEAUTIFUL.
