Add this to the list of clever ways to use a mason jar: DIY hand-poured candles. You can make them in any color or scent you want - and - they make great gifts! You can buy the wax here, and various scents here.

Mason Jar candles are some of most favorite candles to pour.  Especially the smaller jelly jars.  However, if you use a gel wax instead of the paraffin/soy/etc wax, be sure that you label that it is a candle because it can be mistakened for jelly.
