Although coat season is going to be winding down soon (or is it?), purse and accessory season has no end!  Ideas for clever coat/purse hangers are in season, and this one is no exception.

This tree branch hanger project form Garden Therapy uses small but sturdy branches simply spray painted white and screwed onto a board.  How's that for an easy solution to the  misplaced purse problem??  I know we've all done it a time or two... or fifteen.

one tip.. this looks great if you insert the screws from the back side rather than the front side.. first, pre-drill through with a small drill bit to find the exit locations then countersink the holes on the backside to ensure that the screw heads are sunken.. then put your branch pieces flush to the surface and drill them through from the back side.. makes it look so clean... also make sure to not to use screws too long that may come out the front of the branch..

Cute idea, but I bet you could guess that's I'd leave them natural. Just add a few coats of polyurethane.
