6 Clever Doily & Hoop Projects

Back in the day, I used to crochet doilies. Although my taste for doilies has waned considerably, I still have every one that I made. Right now they’re tucked in a drawer waiting for a revival of some sort. I’m thinking that one of these doily and hoop tutorials/ideas just might be the dawn of a new doily age for me. 

The Doily Dream Catcher pictured above was actually featured last week on Etsy’s How-Tuesdays. It looks especially fabulous on that dark wall, no?

Or how about a hooped doilies used as a window treatment

DIY ideas to hoop projects.

This last one is actually lace in hoops, but doilies would do nicely as well. Although they’re being used as decoration for a bridal shower, I can imagine them featured in more every day situations. Like hanging above a baby’s crib, for example, as a lovely take on the traditional mobile.
