Wall-to-Wall Gallery Walls

Is there anything hotter in interior design right now than gallery walls?? And the more art the better, it appears. Just take a look at these babies. Skimpy of art, they are NOT.

I use tacky on the bottom of my picture frames so they always stay straight.

No, I'm not a fan of this or the whole decorating-to-look-like-Grandma's-house trend either.  It does look unedited and cluttered, plus it looks like a lot of work to pull off.

I can totally relate to the picture straightening comment. I have like 5 framed pictures in my house, but it seems like I spend way too much time making them look good and neat :) But I do like this idea for my son's room. We have lots of artwork and stuff that begs to be framed and we have a huge empty wall as well.

Bruno, that's precisely why my 'gallery wall' has 3 pictures on it. Heh.

I'm going to chime in as saying I really don't like this trend. It just seems like a lack of ... editing ... to me. Also, for anyone who'se even slightly OCD, this would be a disaster. Sooooo much picture frame straightening.

These are fabulous, though #2 isn't my favorite I think the sofa is too busy. I love the way that the art becomes part of the neutral wall, but then steps out on it's own with individual pieces catch your attention..Again the wheels are turning and the smoke is puffing out of my ears...EJ
