Fantastic idea on how to make your own mid century modern stuff I'm slowly buying copies and getting some other used stuff off ebay as well to match in but it's very slow going cause of the cost but being able to make a ball clock would be great fun and cost saving too :)

A Punk on Apr 17, 2011:

My dad was totally creative and would make stuff like this (all ultra-mod) when we were young.  Little money, but a lot of imagination made us truly lucky.  Would love to re-create some stuff for my own family........

Mary on Apr 17, 2011:

I don't know if I can decide. . . This book definitely has a lot of unique and creative ideas, and I'm gonna want to do several of these projects!!!  (I do love the atomic ball clock, though!)

Angie on Apr 17, 2011:

Alana on Apr 17, 2011:

James Creel on Apr 17, 2011:

I would like to make a clock and could use some other ideas.

Cathy on Apr 17, 2011:

Wow! Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? THIS grandma
would love to surprise her college-kid grandson with an atomic clock.
Great site you have here.

Terri on Apr 17, 2011:

What a neat book! Retiring soon, so I would love to make some of these projects.....

Sherry on Apr 17, 2011:

Ok, so it will date me but I would love to have the book to make the atomic clock. I remenber my Dad having one just like it over his so called bar. And I need help to re do my home or would it be do my home. It is just a large collection of what everyone gave us so... now with the book I could make my space my own.

Jim Davis on Apr 17, 2011:

Looking for all kinds of home projects.

Instant Living on Apr 17, 2011:

Wish there were more hours in the day. If I had to choose one, it would definitely be the Eames dot pattern cocktail napkins.  I have always loved Ray and her awe-inspiring fabric patterns. If I ever get drunk enough near an all-night  tatoo parlor, this pattern will be meandering around some part of me.  These beauties would make a great hostess gift for the modern-minded.  Not before making a set for myself of course.

K on Apr 17, 2011:

I need a house / work area and a jigsaw.

cubbybear17 on Apr 17, 2011:

I'd make the clock!  I tweeted!

Ron on Apr 17, 2011:

I linked it in on my facebook page.

cathy on Apr 17, 2011:

I think it will be a good creativity boost.
